Today, my client started feeling sick toward the beginning of the workout. I took her over to the machines and had her using real light weights. She eventually got up and went into the bathroom for a bit. She can’t back out and I said that we were finished, that we were just going to cool down and stretch.

I asked a few questions and it turns out she hadn’t slept for 36 hours (she is an intern for surgery) and she has only been eating 1000-1200 calories a day (I had asked her to start logging her meals into fitday) I explained that the lack of sleep, the lack of calories and the likely stress brought on from her job would do this.

The thing is, she can’t stop working. She can’t always eat more – they are busy the entire time they are in. I’ve encouraged her to have something in her pocket at least so she can snack while on the run.

She’s trying to lose body fat and gain back athleticism so she can start playing soccer again.
