How about ‘online bodybuilding community supporting ron paul’ headlining tv news?
The reason Ron Paul will never win is because he is old and looks decrepit(srs)

I just feel like ranting a little bit.

Alright brahs, what i’m about to rant about is purely my opinion.
As you see, i’m a 19 year old lad, but I have really grown an interest in politics in the past few months. I can vote this year, so I really just want to learn about as much as i can, so that I can make an educated decision. But anyways what i’m about to talk about isn’t really about that at all.
I figured i’d say what being a citizen of this great country means to me and what I think my duty as a citizen is.
I feel so grateful to have been born in such a strong, capable, and accomplished country. I am everything I am because this country gave me and my family protection, freedom, and many other things, which have allowed me to live comfortably. To be honest, I would never ever leave or abandon this country EVER. This will always be my country and I will forever be proud and support the United States through thick and thin.
But I’ve been seeing and hearing some disturbing things among the citizens of this country. Especially here on the Misc where a fellow soldier said he was going to leave the country. I just don’t understand this.
I consider myself a Ron Paul supporter but I feel as though, his rising popularity has somewhat caused some citizens to lose pride in this country.
Something that I see constantly is something like this; "The citizens of (example country) don’t want us there!". Yes that statement is true but it’s not our jobs as citizens of this country to look out for citizens of other countries. Yes it’s nice to aid countries during disasters and stuff but besides that, it’s up to the government of THEIR country to look out for them. If the citizens don’t want us there then wouldn’t it be there governments job to appease them and make us leave? But yet they don’t.
At the end of the day, it is the home countries governments decision to have a U.S. presence there and if they allow it then that’s just how it is. It’s not our military/governments job to say "Oh but it looks like your citizens don’t want us here. Looks like we’ll pack up and go home". Shouldn’t it be the other way around?
It really feels like people here in the U.S. support other countries and citizens before their own. Sometimes I wonder if people actually think about whether or not people actually want us there instead of just following Ron Paul. Some countries actually really want us there.
I bet the same people here that cry over killings in the middle east, casually walk by starving homeless people here in the states. That may not be true but lets be real, it happens everyday.
I just think that Red blooded Americans are a dying breed these days. I wasn’t alive during Vietnam but back then our citizens were quick to turn their backs on their own people and support people across the world who they didn’t even know. And just like today, you hear people talking badly about soldiers when all they are doing is serving this great country. If you haven’t been over there who are you to treat them that way? You haven’t walked in their boots.
I guess what i’m saying is that people are really unpatriotic these days. I may be called a sheep and negged for saying this, but I’ll never stop the support of this country. No matter what (unless we conducted some hitler-type mass suicide and started killing our own people). Just like if my brother murdered somebody, i would never turn my back on him. I’d criticize, cuss him out, make him feel worthless and regretful but at the end of the day i’ll try to get down to the bottom of things and figure out why he did what he did, but i’ll never throw him to the dogs. It’s my duty to support him. I feel the same about my country, so what?
America comes first. Bottom line. I can’t believe people are taking the side of backwards countries like Iran. Makes me sick.
This is the end of my rant. Feel free to do what you want, but I thought i’d put my feelings out there. Go ahead and do the same in this thread if you would like.
Ron Paul WON Iowa and here is why. [Opinion] What do you think?
Ron more than doubled his support from 2008 while Mitt Romney gained no ground relatively.
Ron PROVED without a doubt he’s the strongest candidate among independents if you want electability in a general election you can can’t have an honest intellectual conversation without pointing out this VERY huge fact.
Santorum pulled a Huckabee once again proving Iowa has a ton of back woods psuedo christians who want to dictate their will on others through the federal government and blow up brown people he’ll fall on his face especially when the attacks start and people find out Santorum is a big government big spender.
CNN’s John King and now Sarah Palin both spoke out that the republican party will ignore Ron Paul at their own Peril he is the face of a changing nation and the repubs better get on board or be left in the dust.
Ron Paul gets more support from active duty troops than any other candidate and that was brought up more again last night.
etc.
